The Lord's prayer - Cleverly done
This is in two parts, the prayer (in blue type)and GOD (in red type)in response.
Our Father Who Art In Heaven.
Yes?
Don't interrupt me. I'm praying.
But -- you called ME!
Called you?
No, I didn't call you.
I'm praying.
Our Father who art in Heaven.
There -- you did it again!
Did what?
Called ME.
You said,
"Our Father who art in Heaven"
Well, here I am..
What's on your mind?
But I didn't mean anything by it.
I was, you know, just saying my prayers for the day.
I always say the Lord's Prayer.
It makes me feel good, kind of like fulfilling a duty.
Well, all right.Go on.
Okay, Hallowed be thy name .
Hold it right there.
What do you mean by that?
By what?
By "Hallowed be thy name"?
It means, it means . . good grief,I don't know what it means.
How in the world should I know?
It's just a part of the prayer.
By the way, what does it mean?
It means honored, holy, wonderful.
Hey, that makes sense..
I never thought about what 'hallowed' meant before.
Thanks.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Do you really mean that?
Sure, why not?
What are you doing about it?
Doing? Why, nothing, I guess.I just think it would be kind of neat if you gotcontrol,
of everything down here like you have upthere.. We're kinda in a mess down here you know.
Yes, I know; but, have I got control of you?
Well, I go to church.
That isn't what I asked you.
What about your bad temper?
You've really got a problem there, you know.
And then there's the way you spend your money -- all on yourself.
And what about the kind of books you read?
Now hold on just a minute!
Stop picking on me!
I'm just as good as some of the rest of those people at church!
Excuse ME..
I thought you were praying for my will to be done.
If that is to happen, it will have to start with the ones
who are praying for it.
Like you -- for example ....
Oh, all right. I guess I do have some hang-ups.
Now that you mention it,
I could probably name some others.
So could I.
I haven't thought about it very much until now,
but I really would like to cut out some of those things.
I would like to, you know, be really free.
Good.
Now we're getting somewhere.
We'll work together -- You and ME.
I'm proud of You.
Look, Lord, if you don't mind,
I need to finish up here.
This is taking a lot longer than it usually does.
Give us this day, our daily bread.
You need to cut out the bread..
You're overweight as it is.
Hey, wait a minute! What is this?
Here I was doing my religious duty,
and all of a sudden you break in
and remind me of all my hang-ups.
Praying is a dangerous thing.
You just might get what you ask for.
Remember, you called ME -- and here I am.
It's too late to stop now.
Keep praying. ( pause ... . )
Well, go on.
I'm scared to.
Scared? Of what?
I know what you'll say.
Try ME.
Forgive us our sins,as we forgive those who sin against us.
What about Ann?
See? I knew it!
I knew you would bring her up!
Why, Lord, she's told lies about me, spread stories.
She never paid back the money she owes me.
I've sworn to get even with her!
But -- your prayer --
What about your prayer?
I didn't -- mean it...
Well, at least you're honest.
But, it's quite a load carrying around all thatbitterness and resentment isn't it?
Yes, but I'll feel better as soon as I get even with her.
Boy, have I got some plans for her.
She'll wish she had never been born.
No, you won't feel any better.
You'll feel worse.
Revenge isn't sweet.
You know how unhappy you are --
Well, I can change that.
You can? How?
Forgive Ann.
Then, I'll forgive you;
And the hate and the sin, will be Ann's problem -- not yours.
You will have settled the problem as far as you are concerned.
Oh, you know, you're right.
You always are.
And more than I want revenge,
I want to be right with You . . (sigh).
All right, all right . ...
I forgive her.
There now!
Wonderful!
How do you feel?
Hmmmm. Well, not bad.
Not bad at all!
In fact, I feel pretty great!
You know, I don't think I'll go to bed uptight tonight.
I haven't been getting much rest, you know.
Yeah, I know.
But, you're not through with your prayer, are you?
Go on.
Oh, all right.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Good! Good! I'll do that.
Just don't put yourself in a place where you can be tempted.
What do you mean by that?
You know what I mean.
Yeah. I know.
Okay.
Go ahead. Finish your prayer..
For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory forever.
Amen.
Do you know what would bring me glory --
What would really make me happy?
No, but I'd like to know.
I want to please you now..
I've really made a mess of things.
I want to truly follow you..
I can see now how great that would be.
So, tell me . . .
How do I make you happy?
YOU just did.

Hallelujah!!!

92 year old
While watching a little TV on Sunday, I watched as a church in Atlanta honoured one of it's senior pastors who had been retired many years. He was 92 and I wondered why the church even bothered to ask the old gentleman to preach at that age.
After a warm welcome, introduction of this speaker, and as the applause quieted down, he rose from his high back chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gait to the pulpit. Without a note or written paper of any kind he placed both hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he began to speak....
"When I was asked to come here today and talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest lesson ever learned in my 50-odd years of preaching. I thought about it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials. The one thing that I could always rely on when tears and heartbreak and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me... the only thing that would comfort was this verse........
"Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
we are weak but He is strong,
Yes, Jesus loves me....
The Bible tells me so."
The old pastor stated, "I always noticed that it was the adults who chose the children's hymn 'Jesus Loves Me' (for the children of course) during a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I could see they knew it the best."
"Here for you now is a Senior version of Jesus Loves Me":
JESUS LOVES ME
Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.
(CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES ME.. YES, JESUS LOVES ME.
YES, JESUS LOVES ME, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.
Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.
(CHORUS)
When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song.
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."
(CHORUS)
When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love.
(CHORUS)
I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.
(CHORUS)
G0d Bless Us All!!!

Easter prayer
Beautiful saviour and precious Lord
I thank you for your blood,
That flowed that day at Calvary
A demonstration of your love.
For no one has ever loved that much
For their life to be poured out,
But you took upon your beaten body
The death sentence that was ours.
We can never fully comprehend
All that you had to endure,
You came a sinless sacrificial Lamb
And offered a life so pure.
We read how you were so mistreated
Rejected with no mercy or love,
But still you willingly laid down your life
And poured out your life's blood.
For it's by your blood we can be healed
Forgiven and set free,
It was necessary that you died for us
So we may have eternity.
We praise and thank you our Heavenly Father for your love for us and
for setting us free.

Eagles in the Storm
Eagles in the Storm
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages, below the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
When the storms of life come upon us ... and all of us will experience them...we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God.
The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.
Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them. The Bible says, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on the wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31.

Laat dit nou vir jou 'n les wees
BEKEER JOU, BROEDER! - Corinus ++++++++++++++++
Staan hom by in sy geveg teen sy sondige verlede. Gaan drink tee en koffie by met hom en help hom waak teen die versoeking van drank om die braaivleisvuur. Bly by hom, van vroeg in die oggend tot selfs laat in die nag. U dra sy redding in u hande. U hou die kleed van sy nuwe toekoms vas. Moet dit nie laat val of hom versaak nie."
Na die preek is al die vakansiegangers dit eens. Hierdie Ds Jan is darem 'n uithaler prediker.

This is too beautiful

Dear God:
I want to thank You for what you have already done.
I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better.
I'm not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me.
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears.
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves.
I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet.
I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed.
I am thanking you right now. I am thanking you because I am alive. I am thanking you because I made it through the days of difficulties. I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.
I'm thanking you because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.
God is good, all the time. Continue to THANK HIM.
Have a great day, and an even better tomorrow.

Kerst

The Son
The SON
This is great, take a moment to read it, it will make your day!
The ending will surprise you.
A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art.. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.
When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.
<About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.
He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.'
The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.'
The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.
The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection..
On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?'
There was silence..
Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.'
But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid fo r this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?'
Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!'
But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?'
Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting...' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.
'We have $10, who will bid $20?'
'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.'
The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.
They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.
The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!'
A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!'
The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.'
'What about the paintings?'
'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time.. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.
The man who took the son gets everything!'
God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?'
Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE

This is my God
This is MY God.
He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and
The Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be...
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can't understand him,
The armies can't defeat Him,
The schools can't explain Him,
The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and
The people couldn't hold Him!
Nero couldn't crush Him,
Hitler couldn't silence Him,
The New Age can't replace Him, and
Donahue can't explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and
His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer,
He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and
He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and
He rules my life!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me, and
Ever cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere,
Every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
So, if you're wondering why I feel so secure, understand this...
He said it and that settles it.
God is in control, I am on His side, and
That means all is well with my soul.
Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is!

Hebron positie deel 1
Christus (chef) : 1st in tijd, 1st in rang
David verbleef 7,5 jaar in Hebron.

The scheme of the enemy
The Scheme of the Enemy
When we became Christians, we became enemies of Satan.
In Eph 6: 12 we read that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
Today I want to look at: how the enemy wages war against us, what his strategy is.
The devil discovered that the human being has a soul and that through our soul we are very open to being drawn away by three lusts, three preoccupations.
Now before we delve into this let’s see where the enemy discovered this and how he used it and how he continues to use this vulnerability of the human being.
Let’s look at Genesis 3: 5 -7
(“ ‘For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.” Genesis 3:5-7)
Satan said to man that if he ate of the tree that was in the midst of the garden that his eyes would be opened; he would know good and evil and he would live forever. He tempted man with that.
Before this, Adam and eve had 2 different sets of eyes that were open.
- The natural eyes were open—the eyes of the body, cause eve saw that the tree was good.
- The eyes of the spirit were also open, because God and man was daily communicating with each other. (The way that man communicates with God is spirit to Spirit. Romans 8:16 says that the Spirit Himself testifies with our spirits that we are the Sons of God.
(“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”)
God said to man that if he ate of the tree his eyes would be opened. And we just read that his eyes were opened.”
Which eyes were opened?
It was the eyes of his soul… the eyes of his soul were opened. When the eyes of the soul were opened, the human being began to see reality very differently…
Before his eyes were opened, what thought did he have for what he would eat or drink or what he would wear?
In Matthew 6:25 Jesus said: “Therefore I tell you; do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?”)
The moment the eyes of the human being were opened -the eyes of the soul- one of his principle preoccupations was with, “What will I wear?” because he was naked and he saw that he was naked. Now prior to the fall, he was naked but not ashamed. After the fall he was naked and ashamed. Why? Because he saw that it was his responsibility to clothe himself.
The next thing that he did when his eyes were opened was that he hid. Before, the indications are that he eagerly came to see God when God came into the garden. In the early morning, in the cool of the day, when God would appear in the Garden man would gladly come to see God. But after they fell for Satan’s trap, God, Himself, was seen as the enemy of man. When God then came into the Garden man wanted to run and hide.
First, two things that the human being did when the eyes of his soul were opened were:
1. he saw the need to provide for himself and
2. he saw the need to protect himself.
The entire matter of the human being governed by the soul centers around his compulsion to provide for himself and to protect himself. These compulsions are so great, so dominant, that they might be appropriately called “his lusts”.
We normally think of lusts as being sexual desire but lust is anything that is the urge or the force to which we are drawn and there are three of these lusts:
1. the lust of the flesh - has to do with your ability to figure out what needs to be done.
2. the lust of the eyes - has to do with the limitation of your vision concerning “how can it be done?” What needs to be done?
3. And the pride of life - has to do with, “I can do it.”
What has to be done, how can it be done and I can do it.
Human beings are addicted to their own provision and their own protection and they are always thinking about, “How do I provide for myself” and “How do I protect myself”-that is, what needs to be done? I need to be protected, I need to be provided for; “How can I protect myself”, “How can I provide for myself” and “I can do it.”
If however you think that you can’t do it, then you are in trouble. Then you cannot protect yourself and that means that you will become a slave to somebody else. If you can’t provide for yourself it means that you have to be subject to somebody else.
Now, the enemy realized that these three lusts is the way that the human being thinks when he operates by his soul. This is the way he normally thinks. So, this is what he does: he forms an entrapment that is based upon these three lusts and this entrapment he calls “the world”…
And the world is a perfect magnet for the weakness of the human soul, designed specifically to entrap the human soul.
When he succeeds to entrap your soul, he reaches his intention, which is to make you unable to respond to the Spirit of God, and by that he proves that humans are an inferior creation, incapable of having a relationship with God… incapable of loving God, always loving themselves, always being concerned about themselves first and foremost…“me first before anybody else… forget about God.”
In I John 2:15-17 we read … “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”
The world is the Greek word kosmos, which in this chapter talks about the ethical (system of principles) moral and spiritual world-order or system of life in its condition of self-reliance and independence from God along with its apostate (runaway, traitor) beliefs, values, ethics; attitudes and practices.
The kosmos as such is concerned with the present; temporary (passing; fleeting) dimension of life, ignoring or denying eternity, measuring existence by material standards and defining (het bepalen) achievement in terms of human esteem. It is a philosophy or world-view which in its extreme forms is marked by selfishness; greed; powerlust, ambition; violence; self-glory and other vices (crimes) which reflect the man-centered spirit of this world.
We’re told not to love the world and the world (this whole anti-God system that I have just described – the kosmos) is a creation of Satan. If we look around us we can see this manifested in the way that people dress, the movies and tv, things people think is funny, the way people talk, success as the world describes it,the way the world treat divorced women, elderly people, children; the music people listen to – every dimension of human life.
In Eph. 6:11 we read "Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."
Now a scheme is not a very well disclosed(onthuld) plan. A scheme is a fake (deceitful) effort, that is meant to take full advantage of our blindness.
In the Garden of Eden, when Adam and Eve sinned, what were their immediate concerns? What became their obsession, What was their blindness? Well, suddenly… they were preoccupied with their need for provision and their need for protection because before that there was no need for either thing. Before that, God was their provision and God was their protection. They didn’t need to be protected from God because God was their friend, God loved them, God came to see them; they looked forward to seeing God when He came, and they were naked and not ashamed. But after their sin they were occupied with their vulnerability and they immediately tried to protect themselves in these areas of their vulnerability.
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, these are the essential ways by which the soul operates. Therefore, the scheme of the enemy is this: he has created an entire alternative to trusting God by which the human is tempted, persuaded into not only the belief, but the reliance on this as truth—it’s not true, but it’s presented as if it’s true—that you have to take care of yourself; you better figure out how to take care of yourself and you better do it. Ask anybody. Isn’t this what it’s about? If you don’t take care of you, who will take care of you? So, if that’s the question, what are the relevant issues that relate to that? Number one is: what needs to be done? Number two is: how can it be done? And number three is: can I do it?
Well the enemy has assured you that you can.
IN 2Co 4:4 he is called the3588 god2316 of this5127 world165 hath blinded5186 the3588 minds3540 of them which believe not
He blinds the minds of people into thinking, “You shall be as gods knowing good and evil.” (‘For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’” – Genesis 3:5) You can do it, whatever needs to be done, you don’t need God. You don’t need God for your provision, you don’t need God for your protection, trust in your own understanding.
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” – I John 2:15)
“For God so loved the world…” ( John 3:16a) - a reference to humanity, and in I John 2:15 “Do not love the world…”an arrangement of systems that promise us provision and protection and our control of those means”
“Do not love the world or anything in the world. f anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world the cravings of the sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.” ( I John 2:15-17)
The cravings of the sinful man are: I have got to be protected, I’ve got to be provided for and I don’t care how that’s done … and I can do it,”
So the enemy has set a trap for man and it’s a trap that encourages the soul of man to live in a state that is independent from submitting to God. Because the outcome of that entrapment, the outcome of that scheme, when it works, is that it absolutely prevents the love of God from ever being formed in you.
Is that not what it says? It says, “If you love the world, or the things in the world, the love of the Father is not in you.” ( I John 2:15,16) Wow.
What is the natural response of a child to a father? What is the natural response that God is looking for from his children to Himself? Love! If you love the world you cannot love the Father. The world is a creation of Satan meant to effectively stop you from being a child of God, manifesting that truth, that you’re a child of God, by loving God. After all, what is that relationship between a father and a son except that of the father loving the son and the son loving the father? What, then, is an effective bar to the children loving the Father? When the children’s souls are entrapped in the condition of “what I can do for myself, apart from God” then you cannot at the same time love God. It’s impossible to love God and be governed by the lusts of your flesh, the lust of the eye and the pride of life. You will not trust God and you will not love God as long as the soul is addicted to the provisions of Satan’s world. Wow… that’s a pretty powerful scheme wouldn’t you say, that the enemy takes such complete advantage of the human being that he has formed an entrapment that is the perfect match for the human soul.
The vulnerability of the human is in the matter of the soul. Now if the enemy is able to get you to operate exclusively in your soul then he wins. The character of God cannot be formed in you because you will not let go of what you can do to provide for yourself and protect yourself.
But, Fortunately for us, God had a plan. His plan was Jesus.
God send Jesus into this world. He was exposed to everything that Satan’s Kosmos, his world, his entrapment meant to trap us in.
Jesus never relied on those lusts. Instead, what He relied on was exactly what Adam and Eve relied on prior to their fall. They fellowshipped with God and so their wisdom, their counsel, their understanding came from what God showed them. And their provision and their protection came from the Lord, Himself. He watched over them day and night; He provided for them.
Jesus said, “I only do what I see the Father do.” “Jesus gave them this answer: ‘I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.’” – John 5:19)
Jesus would put it in these terms, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” ( Matthew 8:20)
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:33,34)
He lived what He taught and what he taught was the truth that Adam and Eve had experienced prior to the Fall because in that time there was no one pulling upon their souls to draw them into a reliance on themselves. So in this way Jesus taught us that it is possible to live in this present world according to the standards and the norms of a Heavenly reliance, that is that we might rely upon the Spirit of God instructing and informing our spirits as to the Truth, as opposed to living by what our souls tell us is true.
What’s interesting is that when someone becomes a believer in Jesus Christ, God takes them through a very rigorous process by which they learn that they should not ever trust in their own understanding or lean upon what they could do for themselves. (Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding…” – Proverbs 3:5) Instead, God teaches us to hear the voice of God and to walk in the Spirit.
Moment by moment the Spirit of God teaches you; event by event He shows you; time by time God leads you until a whole different mindset is released in you… it’s called “the mind of Christ” and it is the activation of the mind that is in your spirit—your spirit has a mind and your soul has a mind. When your spirit’s mind is alert, what is real to you is what God says is real. When your soul’s mind is alert, what is real to you is what your emotions and your thought processes tell you is real and there is this real conflict.
You are being transitioned from utter self-reliance, to learning this truth: that you do not live on bread alone but you live by what God says. ( –“He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every work that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” – Deuteronomy 8:3)
Everyone knows that when you become a believer God seems to take personal interest in transitioning you from what you have been able to do, and do so well for yourself to the place where you seem like you are broken. You don’t have any abilities, you don’t have any capabilities and you have to rely on God, and most people resent God for that when they are going through it because we have this attitude, “If God would only touch my plans and make my plans work then I would be rich, I’d be famous, I’d have an abundance and I can give some of it to God and I can be a famous person. I can say things that will bless God. And we’re offended because God doesn’t want that.
Well, these are the ways the soul thinks of loving God, “Out of the excess of what I can accomplish, I’ll do some things for God.” That, I assure you, is not loving God. Loving God is when you have nothing and you’ve been made to be nothing by God, that you say, “Nevertheless, not what I will but let Thy will be done.” ( ‘Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.’” – Luke 22:42) Then you are speaking as one who loves God more than he loves himself. The other way is that you will give to God out of the excess of what He’s helped you to get. No wonder God isn’t interested in that point of view, cause these schemes are always about how we can be independent of God.
We offer to God the scheme of how we can get rich, but it’s never just so we can get rich, it’s always about, “Well, if You will make me rich, I’ll give you some, I’ll help your cause, I’ll help your people.” The interesting thing about that is that when people have that attitude they never have enough… there is never enough; they never give. People like that are not the givers. The givers, typically, are the people who give who don’t have a whole lot. Now occasionally you’ll meet someone who is wealthy who really does love the Lord and gives, but the norm is for the “little ones”… what we would consider “little ones” for them to give.
The soul of any man, any person, doesn’t give in willingly, doesn’t give up his life willingly. So, the process by which we are transformed in our thinking is a process of death and resurrection where God takes you through and brings you through.
Now it is when we decide to listen to the Spirit of God, as He speaks to our spirits, that we begin to be free of the schemes of the enemy. That is what the Scriptures refer to when they say, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…” ( Psalm 111:10a) It’s not about being afraid of God; it is the reliance on God as our very life which is the beginnings of the foundation of being wise because, among other things, it’s the place at which we become “unhooked” from the ability of the enemy to entrap us. And it’s the place at which we begin to turn to God in which condition we are able to escape the enemy. Furthermore, when God saves us, the manner of His salvation is that He first saves us by saving our spirits, then He saves the soul, progressively, and then eventually the body is renewed or transformed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye and all is resurrected from the dead; planted a natural body, raised a spiritual body; planted as terrestrial raised as celestial. (So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.” – I Corinthians 15:42-44)
Now, when He saves the spirit what He does is that He gives us the Holy Spirit- Spirit to spirit. Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.” That means that when you are dead His Spirit comes in, fills you and resurrects you. When you are saved in that way then the Spirit of God assembles you into the Body of Christ
When you are put into the Body of Christ, you are assembled into the corporate reality of Jesus Christ on the earth. So He didn’t just come as a man; he now is here also as a spiritual man, and that was God’s plan.
First He defeated the enemy by coming on the turf as a natural man and subjecting Himself to everything the devil had to throw at Him. Yet He never once relied on any of the schemes of the devil but He left us in the place of where He used to be, physically. He has left us a spiritual reality: one new man, a corporate man, the man Christ Jesus, Himself.
To this spiritual man He adds everyone who receives Him and He adds him by putting His Spirit in you, resurrecting you, and the Spirit puts you in this Person. Now in that way, the human being, who is normally subject to Satan escapes from the control of Satan because he is transformed from the natural to the spiritual, from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of God and in that way, God not only protects you but He lifts you up—way beyond the natural—transforms your nature and causes you to have a divine nature, which is the very nature of God, Himself, as He dwells in you.
And now He shows to the principalities and powers in the heavenly realms, through us, the manifold wisdom of God. That was His plan!

Gelukkig Nieuwjaar
Gods zegen

Called as watchman
Ezekiel 33:4-17
Everyone of us are called as watchman, called to watch and warn.
The new testament is full of scriptures that says: watch and pray, watch out and so forth.
The 1st area where we need to be a watchman is over our own lives. We need to set a guard.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
Be sober: that is, be discreet (careful, cautious) watch.
Be vigilant: to keep awake, that is, watch , (be) watch (-ful).
So we can read, watch, watch, your adversary is seeking whom he can devour.
In order to watch out, you need to be alert, you need to be sharpened in your spiritual sight. You need to spend time with the Lord, to dig into His word. Through all of this the Holy Spirit will teach us to discern who and what our enemy is, will give us insight into the circumstances of our lives, will teach us to warfare.
He will teach us the thruth, which will cast away all darkness, and will disarm our enemy in every situation. It is the truth that sets us free and disarm every lie of darkness.
Isa 59:19 So shall they fear3372 (853) the name8034 of the LORD3068 from the west,4480, 4628 and (853) his glory3519 from the rising4480, 4217 of the sun.8121 When3588 the enemy6862 shall come in935 like a flood,5104 the Spirit7307 of the LORD3068 shall lift up a standard5127 against him.
When the enemy comes like a strong flood, The Lord shall make him flee, Jesus Christ is our standard, he is the banner that we can raise over our lives .
He is the sun of righteousness. The more we die, the more His light can shine through us and disperse of (get rid of) the darkness.
As we are a watchman over our own lives, we will also become watchman for the sake of God’s kingdom. He will use us to warn those that are facing eternal judgment, he will use us to warn those in the body who are looking to be devoured by the way they are living.
If we are led by His spirit, He will tell us when we need to warn someone, and if we don’t, we will be held responsible for their trespasses. In the o testament people had to lay there hand on the animal that they were to sacrifice and then their sin was transferred to the animal and he died in there place. The word used in Hebrew (that we will be responsible and have the blood of that person on our hands) is the same word that was used to describe that this action of sins being transferred to the animal. You will thus be held accountable for that persons transgressions.
A watchman need to sound the alarm, he needs to warn of danger. You can only recognize danger when you walk in the spirit, because then only you won’t fulfill the lusts (desires or longings) of the flesh.
It is God’s heart to warn us, to look out for us. He will warn us, but we have to take heed (we have to take His warning to heart)
1Co 10:13 No temptation has taken you but what is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear it.
There is always a solution for everything in our life, God will always direct our steps and give us wisdom. We can never come to a place where God isn’t there, or where He can’t help us, provide for us or rescue us from.
Psa 139:3 You search my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, You know it altogether. 5 You have closed me in behind and in front, and laid Your hand on me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot go up to it. 7 Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? :8 If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea; :10 even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. :11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me. :12 Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You.
13 For You have possessed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's womb.
Isa 49:16 See, your name is marked on my hands; your walls are ever before me.
He is ever mindful of us and our interest (well-being)
He engrave our interests (our concern) as a sign on his hand, He looks at it and remember His covenant with us.
“Thy walls shall be continually before me; thy safety are my continual care.
This should also be our heart as watchmen, the spiritual safety and care for those around us.
We live in an ungodly society.
Jesus warned His disciples that as time goes by the love of many will grow cold and that faith would be a rare thing.
We are fortunate, we are privileged, we are blessed. This gives us a responsibility.
It is not God’s heart for anyone to perish, for the sinner to die in his sins.
He is calling us to be his watchmen. He wants to use us to warn those who are on their way to eternal damnation.
He is waiting for us, His church, to become effective in serving Him, in making a difference.
A watchman doesn’t get much time for his own needs. His main concern is to watch and warn.
He wants to please His King, he wants to be diligent.
He knows that he has life and death in his hands, he is aware of the seriousness of his job. One moment of laziness; selfishness or dullness could be fatal.
He also knows that it is also for his own benefit to watch and warn, because if one in the body suffers, the rest suffers. We are not isolated, living on our own, what affects the body, affects us.
Every sinner that dies, is a loss to the kingdom, is a tragedy.
We must take heed to warning. We must always be quick to repent.
One only guards that which is precious. It is important to realize the preciousness of what we are guarding.
Isa 33:6 And He will be the security of your times, and strength of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of Jehovah is his treasure.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; terror has surprised profane ones. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands free from holding bribes, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high; his refuge shall be the strongholds of rocks; bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall behold the land that is very far off.
18 Your heart shall dwell on terror. Where is the scribe? Where is the one weighing? Where is the one counting the towers?
19 You shall not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than you can understand; of a foreign tongue that no one understands.
20 Look on Zion, the city of our holy meetings; your eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet home, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of its stakes shall ever be removed, nor shall any of its cords be broken.
21 But there the glorious Jehovah will be to us a place of broad rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars shall go, nor shall mighty ship pass by it.
The Lord is a sure foundation, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge.
An effective watchmen will be built on this foundation. The fear of the Lord is his treasure. He wants to obey and please His King in every way.
If there is one thing we need in our lives, then that is the fear of the Lord.
Who can dwell with the consuming fire, with everlasting burnings?
He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly; he who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands free from holding bribes, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;
16 He shall dwell on high
In order to be effective watchmen our lives need to be sorted out. You must live and move and have your being in the consuming fire so that He can burn all chaff out of your life.
his refuge shall be the strongholds of rocks; bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
Your eyes shall see the king in his beauty
You will have a large vision, you will view a land that is far off
your eyes shall see Jerusalem, a tent that will not be moved
The Lord will be your Mighty One, and be like a place of broad streams and rivers
In Him we find rest for our souls, in Him we have everlasting freedom, there is no limits and no restrictions.
Let us be the watchmen that He has called us to be, working with Him to see His kingdom come on earth
May God richly bless and keep you

religion / hyprocrisy vs relationship
The title of my message is:
1
Religion/ Hypocrisy vs. Relationship
Do you know what drive most people today, what most people are pursuing?
For most people in the world there life’s priority is to survive; to meet their needs.
2
The priority of their need to survive are :
1. Water
2. Food 2 categories: A material needs
3. Housing
4. Security – have a job etc
5. Protection B soulish/emotional needs
6. Significance – recognition, to be seen, honored
So, the priority that master most people’s life is mere survival/mere existence instead of living abundant lives, which Jesus came to give.
Do you know that religion is build on these needs?
Religious leaders tell people if they come to them their needs will be met.
It is all about self-satisfaction, about making people feel good.
3
But what is God’s priority?
It is totally the opposite of what religion focuses on.
Jesus said that life is more than your needs.
Let’s look at Mat 6:19 - the end:
Do not lay up treasures on earth for yourselves,
where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves
break through and steal. But lay up treasures in
Heaven for yourselves, where neither moth nor rust
corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor
steal. For where your treasure is, there will your
heart be also. The light of the body is the eye.
Therefore if your eye is sound, your whole body
shall be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your
whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore
the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that
darkness! No one can serve two masters. For either
he will hate the one and love the other, or else he
will hold to the one and despise the other. You
cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say to
you, Do not be anxious for your life, what you shall
eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what
you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the
body more than clothing? Behold the birds of the
air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather
into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them;
are you not much better than they are? Which of
you by being anxious can add one cubit to his
stature? And why are you anxious about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They
do not toil, nor do they spin, but I say to you that
even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one
of these. Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the
field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into
the oven, will He not much rather clothe you, little-
faiths? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What
shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With
what shall we be clothed? For the nations seek after
all these things. For your heavenly Father knows
that you have need of all these things. But seek first
the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all
these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not
be anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow shall be
anxious for its own things. Sufficient to the day is
the evil of it.
What is it saying? Your value is more important than your needs.
What Jesus is actually saying in this chapter is that money (needs) should not drive you, you should drive money, money is not your master, you should be money’s master.
He says that nonbelievers seek after needs and live for their needs, but that our heavenly father knows what we need; that God will sustain us. He says: “Take your mind off that other priority list and I will show you what is priority!”
Vs.23 seek first the kingdom of God, not seek first water; food, housing ….
No, seek thirst the kingdom of God
Seek means to pursue, go after, study, explore, learn, consider
First, is the order of priority, first in time, place, order, or importance
The kingdom of God is about dominion, about reign
When you seek God’s dominion 1st in your life, everything else will line up with what you need.
Now, in this life of the kingdom we have a governor general, the Holy Spirit, whose work it is to bring you in line with the culture of the kingdom.
As Christians we are to walk in the Spirit and be let by the Spirit. If we want to see God’s plan coming into fulfillment in our lives we have to get rid of our religious ways; our religious habits.
Let’s look at Mat 6: 1 - 18
Take heed that you do not do your merciful deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward with your Father in Heaven. Therefore when you do your merciful deeds, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. But when you do merciful deeds, do not let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret Himself shall reward you openly. And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your room. And shutting your door, pray to your Father in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. But when you pray, do not babble vain words, as the nations. For they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard. Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him. Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. And when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, of a sad face. For they disfigure their faces so that they may appear to men to fast. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to fast, but to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly.
Hypocrite (who does everything openly before men in order that he would be seen, be recognized, be honored for His service unto God)
Vs.
Relationship, where a child of God who must do things in secret, for His father to notice and not for public display, so that His Father honors Him
4
The word hypocrite, in Greek (hupokritēs) (talks about someone that is a stage player, that is an actor under an assumed character, that pretends to be someone that he is not:
In the dictionary it further refers to someone:
· who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives, (a phony)
· someone who leads you to believe something that is not true (a charmer)
· a person who is inwardly evil but outwardly professes to be righteous
5
Now, the word take heed, implies that it is sin to be a hypocrite.
The Pharisees did not do these good works as a principle of obedience to God, or love to man, they did it in pride; not in compassion to the poor, but purely that they might be extolled as good men, and so might be honored by men, and to get a great deal more than they gave.
Now, the word secret, as to do these things so that your Father who sees in secret will reward you, speaks about something that is concealed; that is private, hidden and inward.
Thus, it is very clear that Jesus was talking about our hearts, and the attitude of it.
Therefore, the message of today is aimed at our hearts, for us to do a bit of heart-searching.
We will not be recognized as sons and daughters of God because of successful performance of spiritual disciplines (like prayer, fasting, and giving to the needy) nor by the manifestation of supernatural power (as in prophesying, performing miracles, and casting out demons) in ministry. Why? Because such religious activities can be found in the lives of all people.
No, the difference will be in what we do in secret.
Because what we do in secret nourishes our hearts and the growth of our characters. And what is in our hearts will overflow in our religious words and religious actions: either as good fruit or as evil fruit--either as fruit that blesses others or as thorns and thistles that abuse and wound them.
6
Rom 8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God
Those who submit to his influence and control.
We live in a daily war, a war where Satan and his angels are our enemy. (acc to Eph. 6: 12 -18)
This war also brings a daily wrestle within ourselves, a wrestle between flesh and spirit
Mark 7:1 – 9
Mar 7:1 And there are gathered together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, who had come from Jerusalem,
Mar 7:2 and had seen that some of his disciples ate their bread with defiled, that is, unwashen, hands.
Mar 7:3 (For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands diligently, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders;
Mar 7:4 and when they come from the market-place, except they bathe themselves, they eat not; and many other things there are, which they have received to hold, washings of cups, and pots, and brasen vessels.)
Mar 7:5 And the Pharisees and the scribes ask him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with defiled hands?
Mar 7:6 And he said unto them, Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me.
Mar 7:7 But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.
Mar 7:8 Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.
Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition.
When Jesus came He messed up the whole Jewish system.
Jesus said that instead of obeying the word of God people were teaching there traditions. In the old testament there were 2 laws: word of God and the law of men
7
Let’s look at Marc 7: 10 -11
Mar 7:10 For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death:
Mar 7:11 but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is Corban, that is to say, Given to God;
The law of men said that you could not eat food without washing your hands thirst.
Jesus disciples ate with unwashed hands, because there holiness didn’t come from obeying the laws of men, no, they were sanctified through the Word of God, through Jesus.
Now, the culture of heaven is all about obeying the Word of God.
One of the problems that the Jewish traditional religion had with Jesus teaching about the kingdom, was that it was a foreign teaching. Off course it was foreign, because it was from a foreign government in heaven.
That was the reason also why Paul was beaten up and persecuted. His teachings was in line with the culture of heaven, but against the traditions of men.
Whenever the high priest made a new law it was accepted as a general law, even though it was actually only tradition.
The Pharisees did not told Jesus that he was breaking God’s word, no they said He was breaking the laws of the elders. MAT 6
When Jesus came He brought revolution.
He said that God loved the world, He no longer only loved Israel. Israel was only a prototype. When Jesus came he made the 2 one in Him (the Jew as well as the gentiles). God did not say only the Jews, he said the Jews first.
8
In Marc 7
• Jesus was addressing his brethren, his own kind. They were his race, his color, his religion. They were in his country.
• They were moral folk, honest and church (synagogue) going. They said there prayers, they were waiting for the messiah, they did good works.
They thought they were serving God, pleasing him. But Jesus shocked them because He said:” no, you’re doing it all wrong.”
Why?
It was because there heart was far from Him.
9
Marc 7:6, 7
· He said, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you… ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me”
· All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your traditions”
10
Marc 7: 13
· The word of God is made of no effect through your tradition [paradosis] which you have handed down.”
• The word paradosis speaks about: The transmission (spread, broadcast) of precepts (voorschriften) , fundamental beliefs, ordinances (verordeningen), traditional understandings, daily practices.
Traditions is basically habits.
Do you know that a HABIT CAN BE FORMED WITHIN 30 DAYS?
It can be for instance the way we pray: “FATHER MY FATHER I WANT TO ASK YOU FATHER MY FATHER; that you father, would, father,
If the way we pray, worship, serve God, is just a habit, then we are just like the Pharisees, then we are busy with religion.
It is amazing the way the human mind works: do you remember when you were learning to drive a motorcar or bicycle?
You were concentrating on every little thing from the ditch on the road to trying to change the leaver, you had to think about everything and observe everything
Now you do it automatically, without even thinking about it. We can do that in our Christian life also. We go on auto pilot, we train to be a Christian, to be a pastor, a disciple, apostle, etc. We do it without even listening to God anymore, cause we think we know how to do it. We can totally push God oneside, ignoring His leading; and His will.
Examples of tradition
A very small part of the church still believe in supernatural healing, or that God still calls apostles and prophets today.
Now, the Word of God has never at any point says that there is a time limit to any of these things. There are no scriptural proof for these believes. It started off with some people not believing it and proclaiming it.
For exc. Some people didn’t get healed when prayed for and now they suddenly believe that healing is not for today.
11
Through EXPERIENCEs or hearsay people started to nullify (cancel out) GOD’S
WORD! PARADOSIS (tradition) got IN THE WAY OF THE BIBLE.
Practices can make the Word of God to NO EFFECT = VOID
The devil is very crafty (sneaky, cunning) in this.
He comes in a subtle way, a religious looking, righteous sounding way.
He will deceive you by letting you ACCEPT A STANDARD of life THAT IS 30% of what God said, that is 30% truth.
He loves for you to go to church as long as you don’t do the will of God, as long as you don’t really obey God. He loves for you to pray, praise and worship, as long as your heart is far away from it, as long as it is just tradition, as long as it is just another program; another thing to do as a Christian
12
• “There is nothing that enters a man from the outside which can defile him, but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.”
• Food, or drinks cannot harm us.
OUTSIDE THINGS ARE NORMALLY OUR Standard FOR HOLINESS
When Jesus lived on earth He wasn’t holy because he did the right things and didn’t do the wrong things …
No! His character was holy. IT Came FROM INSIDE!
It is on the inside that holiness is portrayed, and then the outside will manifest that through character
13
Marcus 7: 21 -23
• Out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness, all these evil things come from within.”
GOD SAYS that our HEARTs are DECEITFUL (bedrieglijk)
14
Our hearts is basically divided into 4 parts (as circle demonstrates)
THAT IS WHY WE should NOT JUDGE EACH OTHER From THE OUTSIDE, from what we can see
WE ALL HAVE HIDDEN SIN, HIDDEN ATTITUDES Which WE can’t SEE!
15
Who can detect their errors? Clear me from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from the insolent; do not let them have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:12-14).
16
We are far too used to reach for cheap grace.
• We take the price that Jesus paid for us for granted, we treat it lightly. Christians say so easily, oh, Jesus died for me; so, I repent (without meaning it or realizing how much God hates sin, so much, that Jesus had to give His life to save us from eternal damnation )
• We sin, then we say, oh lord I repent; I repent ; I repent, but it don’t even touch our hearts. It becomes a habit to repent, a hypocritical ritual
• We don’t stop sinning cause we don’t love Jesus enough, we don’t realize how much our sin hurts Him
Mathew 5:8
• “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”
17
How do we get pure hearts?
1. It is when we are Confronted by our ungodliness.
Remember, Jesus was TALKING TO PEOPLE who Considered THEMSELVES GOOD PEOPLE?
He said that if you even LOOK AT A WOMAN with a Lustful heart you have already sinned
If you get so ANGRY AT YOUR BROTHER that you feel like killing him, you have already KILLED HIM.
In Jesus PRESENCE we Become AWARE OF OUR SIN AND then truly REPENT as the light and fire of His holiness burns right through our religious masks.
• 2. It is when we admit our weakness/our sins.
• 3. When we hate sin, abhorring (uproot it and cast it away) utterly.
• 4. It is when we reach out for grace and mercy.
• if we did truly repent and truly meant it; we will be tested.
• OUR LEVEL OF HOLINESS AND CHRISTLIKENESS WILL ALWAYS BE TESTED
•
5. It is to test our level of forgiveness
• – when people react, respond, criticize, judge us wrongly, how do we react?
18
Mathew 6:21
• “Lay up for yourselves treasure in heaven… for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
• The rich young ruler had kept all the commandments (religious), but his heart was impure, as were his motives.
This was shown up by the treasure test
HE KEPT ALL THE OUTWARD LAWS, he had EXTERNAL Holiness
I DON’T DRINK. I DON’T SWEAR. I GO TO CHURCH twice A DAY. I WEAR THE RIGHT CLOTHES.
BUT WHAT IF THE APPLE OF OUR EYE ARE TOUCHED? WHERE IS OUR TREASURE? WHAT KIND OF TREASURE DO we HAVE. What or who in life really matters to us.
That what IS INSIDE of us CAN MAKE us HOLY or UNHOLY.
We can SEE what is inside us by the way we CONDUCT ourselves. In moments of testing and crisis, the real you comes out, your heart shows.
19
Mathew 12:34, 35
• “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure in his heart brings forth evil things.”
How do we react when Persecution COMES or BAD THINGS happen or when we or those close to us have HEART ATTACKS or when our ACCOUNTS pile up, or when people gossip about us? How do we react when God reprimands us through others?
20
How do we gain heart treasure?
• “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” (Philippians 4:8).
Cultivate a personal relationship with the Father. Stay in Jesus, be like the vine, draw your very life from Him, realize your utter dependence upon him.
NO ONE HERE SHOULD FEEL CONDEMNED …
Our Father Knows OUR HEARTS .. HE IS NOT SURPRISED BY IT. It doesn’t change His love for us.
BUT WE MUST ADMIT the state of our heart TO HIM. When the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin we must repent of it.
We must GIVE HIM A Chance TO UPROOT the EVIL TREES IN OUR HEARTS, TO PRUNE US.
DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF WE START TO LIVE HOLY LIVES?
THE NEIGHBOURS WILL SEE IT. EVERYONE WILL SEE IT AND ASK WHAT IS Happening
THE CITY, THE COUNTRY WILL BE CHANGED
Isn’t that what we want?

'Laminin'
From a Doctor:
'Laminin'
A couple of days ago I was running on my treadmill watching a DVD sermon by Louie Giglio!
I want to share what I learned.
He (Louie) was talking about how inconceivably BIG our God is ... how He spoke the universe into being...how He breathes stars out of His mouth that are huge raging balls of fire...etc. etc.
Then He went on to speak of how this star-breathing, universe creating God ALSO knitted our human bodies together with amazing detail and wonder.
At this point I am LOVING it (fascinating from a medical standpoint, you know.) ..... and I was remembering how I was constantly amazed during medical school as I learned more and more about God's handiwork.
I remember so many times thinking: 'How can ANYONE deny that a Creator did all of this?'
Louie went on to talk about how we can trust that the God who created all this, also has the power to hold it all together when things seem to be falling apart...how our loving Creator is also our sustainer.
And then I lost my breath. And it wasn't because I was running my treadmill either!!! It was because he started talking about laminin.
I knew about laminin.
Here is how Wikipedia describes them: 'Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue.
' You see....laminins are what hold us together....LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell.
Without them, we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I didn't know is what laminin LOOKED LIKE.
But now I do. And I have thought about it a thousand times since....
Here is what the structure of laminin looks like...AND THIS IS NOT a 'Christian portrayal'' of it.
If you look up laminin in any scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see:

Amazing!
The glue that holds us together....ALL of us.... is in the shape of the cross!!
Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind: 'He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, And in him all things HOLD TOGETHER.'
Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin,Paul penned those words.
The Creator knew EXACTLY what laminin 'glue' would look like long before Adam even breathed his first breath!!
And now we see that from a very LITERAL standpoint, we are held together one cell to another .... BY THE CROSS!!

What goes around comes around
"Leave me alone," he growled. To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was smiling - her even
white teeth displayed in dazzling rows.
"Are you hungry?" she asked.
"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president. Now go away."
The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm.
"What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone. Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked.
"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?" The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?"
"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."
"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up.
"Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything."
"This is a good deal for you, Jack," the officer answered. "Don't blow it.."
Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner.
It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived. The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his table.
"What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this. Is this man in trouble?"
"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered.
"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business."
Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place."
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?"
"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."
"And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?"
"What business is that of yours?"
"I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company."
"Oh."
The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference."
She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"
"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty."
"Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"
"Yes, ma'am. That would be very nice."
The cafeteria manager turned on his heel "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer."
The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said.
"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."
She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently. "Jack, do you remember me?"
Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes "I think so - I mean you do look familiar."
"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry."
"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.
"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the
streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."
Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."
"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go
over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble. Then, when I looked over, I saw you put the price of my food in the cash register. I knew then that everything would be all right."
"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.
"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business, that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. "When you are
finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons. He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office." She smiled.
"I think he might even find the funds to give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet. If you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you."
There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you? " he said.
"Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus.. He led me to you."
Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways.
"Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.
"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And...And thank you for the coffee."
If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing.
If you have missed some of my emails, you might have missed a laugh. But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, you have
missed everything in the world.
Remember: when you "cast your bread upon the waters," you never know how it will be returned to you.
Have a Wonderful Day and May God Bless You Always!
Blessings

The 2 flows of anointing
The Two Flows of Anointing
By : Mark Brazee
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." (Acts 10:38)
We can learn God's ways as we watch the ministry of Jesus. It appears that two major flows of anointing operated in Jesus' ministry, and these same flows are still on the body of Christ today.
One flow is like lightening. It just hits every now and then; we don't know when, where or how. These "bolts of lightening" are manifestations of the Holy Spirit as He wills. The other flow of anointing is like electricity. It flows freely when activated by faith.
I was reading "The Companion Bible" in which a man named Bullinger wrote most of the notes. Bullinger said, "There are fifty-two times in the New Testament where the term "Holy Spirit" should literally be translated not 'the person of the Holy Ghost,' but 'the manifestations of the Holy Ghost.'"
Acts 10:38 is one of those verses in which, technically, "Holy Ghost" should be translated as "the manifestations of the Holy Ghost." So it should say, "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the manifestations of the Holy Ghost and with power."
At times, Jesus would walk into a city or village and approach a specific individual. Then He'd operate in the gifts of the Spirit, delivering a miracle with no faith required on the recipient's part at all. These were manifestations of God's sovereign side.
But a majority of the time, Jesus would go into a city or village and begin teaching and preaching. His focus in ministry was to put God's Word into people to develop their faith. Then they'd touch Him or He'd touch them, and healing power would flow out of Him.
Jesus was anointed with power, and faith would draw that power out. The power would flow like electricity after people heard the Word. That's how about 70 percent of the people healed under Jesus' ministry received their healing.
Jesus hasn't changed since the days He walked on this earth. His healing virtue is available to flow out to you as you come to Him expecting your miracle and touch Him with the hand of faith!
Confession:
I come to Jesus to hear His Word and believe it, and I receive
everything I need. His healing power flows to me and
through me because I ask in faith.

LIFE AND DEATH!!!
(Isa 58:1-14)
Make a loud cry, do not be quiet, let your voice be sounding like a horn, and make clear to my people their evil doings, and to the family of Jacob their sins. Though they make prayer to me every day, and take pleasure in the knowledge of my ways: like a nation which has done righteousness, and has not given up the rules of their God, they make requests to me for the right orders, it is their delight to come near to God. They say, Why have we kept ourselves from food, and you do not see it? why have we kept ourselves from pleasure, and you take no note of it? If, in the days when you keep from food, you take the chance to do your business, and get in your debts; If keeping from food makes you quickly angry, ready for fighting and giving blows with evil hands; your holy days are not such as to make your voice come to my ears on high. Have I given orders for such a day as this? a day for keeping yourselves from pleasure? is it only a question of the bent head, of putting on haircloth, and being seated in the dust? is this what seems to you a holy day, well-pleasing to the Lord? Is not this the holy day for which I have given orders: to let loose those who have wrongly been made prisoners, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the crushed go free, and every yoke be broken? Is it not to give your bread to those in need, and to let the poor who have no resting-place come into your house? to put a robe on the unclothed one when you see him, and not to keep your eyes shut for fear of seeing his flesh? Then will light be shining on you like the morning, and your wounds will quickly be well: and your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will come after you. Then at the sound of your voice, the Lord will give an answer; at your cry he will say, Here am I. If you take away from among you the yoke, the putting out of the finger of shame, and the evil word; And if you give your bread to those in need of it, so that the troubled one may have his desire; then you will have light in the dark, and your night will be as the full light of the sun: And the Lord will be your guide at all times; in dry places he will give you water in full measure, and will make strong your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like an ever-flowing spring. And your sons will be building again the old waste places: you will make strong the bases of old generations: and you will be named, He who puts up the broken walls, and, He who makes ready the ways for use. If you keep the Sabbath with care, not doing your business on my holy day; and if the Sabbath seems to you a delight, and the new moon of the Lord a thing to be honoured; and if you give respect to him by not doing your business, or going after your pleasure, or saying unholy words; Then the Lord will be your delight; and I will put you on the high places of the earth; and I will give you the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the Lord has said it.
Today there is an urgency in the heavenlies.
It is a matter of life and death!
Do you think you are better than the hookers? Do you think you are better than the murderers, the adulterers?
Do you know that as a child of God you are not better than an unsaved, ungodly person?
Do you know, child of God, that you are also not better than your brother or sister in Christ whom you see as weak, or sinful?
One thing only! A relationship with Jesus Christ His Son, He who have died for the sins of the world and who have risen and sits at the right hand of His Father until all eternity!
Do you know that in order to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh your head has got to go. Your (and my) stinking thinking has got to go. We have to die to ourselves, take His cross upon us and follow Him (in obedience) Do you know that as you walk in His footsteps, as you follow Him in obedience that sin, your own goodness and attributes, your own stinking thinking, your own good works, your own thoughts, will be replaced by His thoughts, His nature, His attributes, and you will be able to walk in His power, His love, His good works that He has prepared for you to walk in?
It is about the great “I AM WHAT I AM, THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE FOUNTAIN OF JOY, THE LIGHT OF THE NATIONS, THE TRUE VINE, THE BREAD OF LIFE, FATHER+SON+HOLY SPIRIT”
Are we really prepared to love our enemies?
Are we really prepared to die to ourselves?
Do you know that I can no longer acts according to my culture and the ways I am used too?
Then I must be friendly, I must break down barriers between people, I must be willing to be an instrument of reconciliation.
As a child of God your time, your money, your house, your children, your family, your loves ones, your work, our energy, your breath, your very essence of life, is not yours anymore.
It is His!
It is 100% God’s!
It is a matter of life and death!
We are not busy playing church, we are not another new social club, we are not a new way of living that is just a bit different from the world, NO NO NO!!!!!We should be 100% different!!!!!!
THAT IS REAL LIFE!!!!
FLESH STINKS BEFORE THE FATHER, IT IS ONLY HIS SON THAT PLEASES HIM!
